The folks at Advanced Auto Parts in North Adams have helped me out on numerous occasions. Not only with their in-store assistance but with their help finding exactly the right part on-line so I could take advantage of those sales when they arose. This last month alone they helped me save $349 for a repair to the catalytic converter system, which I had been quoted $580 (+ tax) by a local muffler repair franchise. The part listed for $220 and the sale allowed me to get it on-line for only $176 delivered and with a 5 YEAR WARRANTY! Then Dave referred me to a trusted garage in Williamstown and Kevin (at Purple Valley Auto) did the job for $75! PLUS he straightened out the bent exhaust pipe and secured the heat shield while he was in there. I owe all of these folks a debt of gratitude for not only the GREAT support and work but for saving me a substantial amount of money! Thank you all very much!!
Good parts and prices and deals, but seems they don't know Alot about vehicles for an auto shop.
I have been a customer with advanced auto for over a decade, and all of a sudden they will not order parts over the phone. I just ordered a part lat week over the phone without paying, now the manager says they don't allow people to order parts over the phone anymore and it has been in effect for awhile. Poor customer service, a manager that would rather loose a customer for life over a $15 part, that I can pay for over the phone. I will never spend a dime there, and will make sure any mechanic that works on my car will not use parts from advanced auto.
They messed up the shipping date times for a heating motor I needed to keep my car from turning into an ice box. They failed and now I am waiting two extra days while freezing my butt off in negative temperature. Terrible service on quoting
They will test your battery change it for you and even tell you why that stupid service engine soon light is on.
